Margaret Wong walked away from a 10-year career in fashion design when she ventured across the country from New York City to Pullman. While her swimwear designs have been featured in Sports Illustrated three times, she said she switched careers because she wanted to use her creativity in ways that would benefit others. Margaret plans to pursue oncology or internal medicine after graduation. She’s actively researching a syndrome known as “the gulpies,” a digestive condition that affects soft-coated wheaten terriers. Margaret has a soft-coated wheaten terrier named Rufus; a boxer named Billy; and a cat named Jones. She said she loves the “stillness of the Palouse.” When she’s not in the hospital you can find her by the river or camping and hiking with friends.
