It’s pretty fitting that Brianna Boone’s favorite holiday is Halloween!
Brianna spent a good chunk of her junior high years catching wall lizards with a homemade catch pole in her backyard in Gilbert, Arizona. Now the Arizona State alumna is a converted Coug well into her last year of WSU’s veterinary medicine program. Brianna stood in on her first colic surgery when she was 13. She also participated in a research study in northern Arizona, trapping bats to monitor their population following a wildfire. While she enjoys exotic animals, come May she will be looking for work at a small animal clinic in the Portland or Seattle areas. “Animals were such a big part of my life growing up and were always there for me when I needed them,” she said. “Becoming a veterinarian is my way of giving back to the animals that gave me so much.”
