Ok... Take it easy on him.
Zachary Houghtaling is from Edmonds, Washington, and as unfortunate as it is, the University of Washington graduate would like to tell everyone “Go dawgs.” Zach may bleed a little purple now, but come May he will receive his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from WSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine and he will be a Coug forever.
Zach recently accepted a position at VCA Kaneohe Animal Hospital on Oahu, Hawaii. He will miss Pullman, especially listening to jazz with a drink at Rico's Public House in the winter months. Zach enjoys playing sports with his wife Priya, cooking seafood, and riding motorcycles. He and Priya have two 4-year-old girl cats, a Siamese named Bindi, and a domestic long-hair named Shasta. Why does he want to be a veterinarian? Two reasons: “Every day will hold different challenges to tackle and how can you not be happy being surrounded by animals?”
Zach’s wife nominated him for this student spotlight. Do you know a fourth-year veterinary student you would like featured? Message us and we will make it happen. Here's a #GoCougs just for Zach!
