Neuroscience student Taylor Waldron is considering pursuing a Doctor of Psychology or a Doctor of Philosophy on her way to becoming a clinical neuropsychologist. She hopes to contribute to scientific research and make a profound and positive impact on the lives of others.
Where are you from and where did you graduate high school?
I am from Sumner, Washington, and graduated from Sumner High School. I am getting a neuroscience degree.
What are some of your hobbies?
I ride on the equestrian team. I also like to play the piano, crochet, and cook. Kamiak Butte is my favorite place around WSU because I like to hike, and it feels a bit more like the westside than the town of Pullman does.
What’s your favorite course you’ve taken at WSU?
My favorite class was probably Honors 280 with Dr. William Hamlin. It was a really interesting study of religious texts and Greek plays.
What’s a unique fun fact about you?
WSU was the only college I applied to!
What are your career goals?
I am thinking of pursuing a PsyD or Ph.D. to become a clinical neuropsychologist. I want to be a neuropsychologist because both neuroscience and psychology are very interesting fields to me; I want to contribute to scientific research; and I want to be able to make a profound positive impact on people's lives.
