Mikayla Beckley was recognized for her campus involvement.
For more than 80 years, WSU has recognized 10 of the top seniors in each graduating class. The WSU Alumni Association selects students who represent the highest standards in specific aspects of the college experience, including academics, athletics, campus involvement, community service, and visual and performing arts. Beckley was recognized for her campus involvement.
Beckley was the vice president of the Disabled Students and Allies Club and the founder of a mentorship program for undergraduate and graduate students. She also served on many university groups and clubs and as a volunteer for the Special Olympics, Pullman Regional Hospital and more.
Beckley plans to work as a post-baccalaureate fellow in the Division of Cardiology at Seattle Children’s Hospital for the next year before attending medical school.
